Laban shared through a post on his social media account his experience when he sought an aid for the victims of typhoon Nina by addressing his concern to a Facebook page of Vice Pres. Robredo.

In his post, Laban stated: “This is what happens when you appeal directly to the VP for help to your province which just happens to be outside Bicol: You get ignored by the admins of the site, you get a lecture about how LGUs work (never mind that Marinduquenos are starving now), you get shooed away and asked to bother the Duterte government instead (which we are also doing) and finally you get dismissed as a troll.”

Along with the post of Laban are three screen captures. The first screen capture shows a post by the Facebook page Office of the Vice President of the Philippines.

It stated information for Naga volunteers who would like to help in the repacking, the distribution and the delivery of the relief goods for the victims of Typhoon Nina.

The second screen capture entailed a comment of Laban in which the consultant reminded Robredo that she is the Vice President of the whole Philippines and not just of Bicol and Naga.

Another netizen, Philip Lee, replied to the comment of Laban and encouraged him to have their Local Government Unit in action like the LGU in Naga City.

Netizen Marj Rivera also replied to the comment of Laban and told him to find Pres. Rodrigo Duterte as it is his job.

Netizen Victoria P. Garchitorena also replied to Laban’s comment as seen in the third screen capture posted.

She stated that it is really the job of the Department of Interior and Local Designs and the local government officials. She also noted that Vice Pres. Robredo has only been in the position for six months.

In response to the replies of the other netizens, Laban threw a quest if it is against the rule to appeal to the Vice President.
