LOOK – The video and photos showing the visit of Pres. Rodrigo ‘Digong’ Duterte to cancer patients at the Southern Philippines Medical Center’s Children’s Cancer and Blood Diseases Unit (SPMC’s-CCBDU) and The House of Hope in Davao City went viral on social media.
In a previous news report, it is stated that Presidential Communications Sec. Martin Andanar told a radio interview that Pres. Duterte is scheduled to visit the cancer patients as part of his Christmas activity.
Visiting the cancer patients during the Christmas season has been the President’s tradition together with the opening of his home for the poor since he was the Mayor of Davao City.
Recently, a post on the Facebook page Presidential Communications (Government of the Philippines) went viral as it entailed the photos showing the visit of the 71-year-old President to the patients having cancer in Davao City.
Based on the caption of the post, it has already been the tradition of the President to give Christmas gifts to the children in SPMC who are afflicted with cancer. The visitation happened on the 24th of December according to the caption.

The viral post has already reached 977 shares in less than two days since it was posted. Many netizens also dropped by the comment section of the post and expressed their reaction to the President’s act.
