Thinking Pinoy and blogger Sass Rogando Sasot reacted on the claim of a PhilStar writer that Vice Pres. Leni Robredo is spending Christmas in New York as spending it in Naga brings back memories of her late husband.
In a previous news report, it is stated that the netizens have reacted on the expensive dishes on the menu served for dinner in honor of Vice Pres. Robredo. The online community was surprised as to the foods.
Recently, a news report in News Info Learn contained the name of Vice Pres. Robredo once again as Facebook Page Thinking Pinoy and blogger Sass Rogando Sasot have reacted on her Christmas trip to New York.
Based on the report, a writer of PhilStar News claimed that the Vice President will be spending the holidays in New York as staying in Naga brings back many memories of her late husband, former Interior Sec. Jesse Robredo.
However, Thinking Pinoy, in reaction to the claim of the writer, cited three reasons against the claim on a Facebook post.
On the post, it stated that the late husband of the Vice President passed away four years ago and that Vice Pres. Robredo has already ‘found a replacement in Cong. Bolet Banal’.
The post also made emphasis on the typhoon that is about to hit Bicol during that time and it stated, “Can Leni realistically tell Bicolanos, ‘Sorry I can’t be your leader today because I’m too heartbroken?'”
Thirdly, the Facebook page cited the ‘cheaper alternatives’ in which the Vice President could consider instead of a vacation in the United States. Â The post emphasized that the recent vacations of the Vice President are not inexpensive.
It further entailed the possibility that the Ombudsman really needs to question somebody after it investigated Philippine National Police Chief Dir. Gen. Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa.
Moreover, the post highlighted the idea that Vice Pres. Robredo ‘fears’ that the vice presidency would be taken away from her but she has many issues that prohibit her from being the real Vice President of the country.

Blogger Sass Rogando Sasot also reacted to the claim of the writer. She pointed in a Facebook post that Leni was in Naga 2013 and in 2014, they spent the Christmas eve at Jesse’s grave.
Sasot ended her post with a quest to the writer on why Vice Pres. Robredo will be spending Christmas and New Year in U.S. now that she is the Vice President.
