A 7-year-old boy named Trenton Gardner works as an honorary employee at McDonald’s in Bicknell, Indiana to buy toys for other kids.
A generous heart could be trapped in any body size. It could be trapped in a body of a 7-year-old boy who does not have to work but prefers to do so in order for him to be able to buy some toys – not for him but for the other kids.
A recent news report in Manila Bulletin stated that the Indiana boy is Trenton Gardner who works at McDonald’s as an honorary employee so he could earn money. Trenton told WTHI-TV that the ‘coolest job’ for him is wiping the tables at a restaurant.
According to the report, the mother of Trenton, Lindsey Gardner, expressed that the thought that other children could not afford to buy toys inspired her son. The 7-year-old Indiana boy wanted to earn money so that he could be able to help the other kids.
Before Trenton has really convinced Rhonda Butler, the general manager of McDonald’s, it took him quite a while according to the news report. The perseverance of the boy convinced her to make him as an honorary employee in the restaurant with an apron, a hat, and a name tag of his own.
Furthermore, it is stated that the fast food restaurant had donated some toys for the effort of the 7-year-old kid. Trenton and his family have given a truck loaded with toys to a charity in their place.
Indeed, generosity could be deep within anybody. There is no age, status, or ability requirement when it comes to helping other people. It only needs a great determination and will to help and an initiative to look for ways on how to.
Trenton might just be a little kid to who would usually love toys but his heart was even captured by those other kids who could not afford to buy some toys.
The surprising and inspiring thing is that he never stopped on the fact that he is still no longer fully capable of buying those pieces of stuff that could make other youngsters happy. Instead, he looked for a way, for a job, to be able to earn.
