5 Bundles Of Cash Carried By 2 Immigration Officers, Caught On Video Footage
Two assistant commissioners of Bureau of Immigration (BI) was caught in a video footage of receiving 5 bundles of cash, from Wally Sombrero in a casino mall in Parañaque City, according to some sources from the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Sombrero allegedly gives five paper bar bags of cash, that was allegedly worth P10 million each to the two BI executives that were identified as Michael Robles and Al Argosino. The video footage was taken on November 26 and 27, 2016.
Sombrero is a former police colonel linked to gambling tycoon Jack Lam together with the two BI commissioners was seen in a certain restaurant in the mall but the restaurant’s name was unidentified for the source declined to name it.
Two paper bags was initially carried by sombrero as he walked into the mall together with 2 BI officials going to the restaurant. Then Sombrero placed the bundles of cash close to their feet beneath the table.
After talking for a few seconds, Sombrero left again for several hours to brought 3 more bundles of cash that allegedly contains P30 million. The paper bag containing the cash get ripped due to its quantity but his was able to fix it.
Sombrero came back to the mall together with two other men assisting him in carrying the paper bags, which contains the big amount of cash. Intelligence chief Charles Calima Jr. and the associate commissioners were given 24 hours to invalidate the accusation against them for extorting P50 million from the gambling tycoon
Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate the accusation but BI Commissioner Jaime Morente will also conduct a separate investigation. “We will support this and any other parallel investigation on the matter,” said by Morente quoted by Inquirer.
