Filipino American leader Loida Nicolas-Lewis joined the call for Duterte’s resignation.
Filipino-American Leader Loida Nicolas-Lewis revealed that she has joined the call for President Rodrigo Duterte to resign.
Nicolas-Lewis broke her silence and showed up to the media to clarify the accusations against her that she has been plotting to oust the Philippine president.
“No, President Duterte, I have not plotted against you in terms of coup d’etat, because I believe in the democratic process,” Nicolas-Lewis said.
Filipino-American Leader Loida Nicolas-Lewis is living in the United States and married to an American billionaire. She is known as one of the supporters of Mar Roxas and the Liberal Party.
In a recent news report of ABS-CBN news, Lewis said that she has joined the call for Duterte to resign as the Philippine President.
She said that she has given the President a chance to prove himself, but Lewis expressed her disappointment after Duterte failed to achieve her expectations.
Lewis asked for the President to resign because he fails to do his campaign promise to end criminality and corruption in six months.
“So his promise I will resign in 6 months if the drug epidemic is not solved, he should be true to that promise at least, no extension, resign now President Duterte,” she said.
Furthermore, Lewis pointed out that she is concerned to the electoral protest of Bongbong Marcos.
She shared to the media that she is worried that the plan of the defeated Vice Presidential Candidate Bongbong Marcos to steal the Vice Presidency from Leni Robredo was real.
“16 million who voted for Duterte did not vote for Bongbong Marcos. So be careful. We should ask for the resignation of President Duterte now and not wait until Bongbong Marcos succeeds in his nefarious plan to unseat VP Leni Rodredo,” she said.
Lewis Pointed out that Filipinos should be afraid because the Marcoses will be ruling body again.
