Andanar On Alleged Plot To Steal Vice Presidency From Leni: ‘Speculation’

Martin Andanar spoke on the alleged plot to steal the vice presidency from VP Leni Robredo.

ANDANAR – The alleged plot to steal the Vice Presidency from Vice Pres. Leni Robredo was dismissed by Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar in an interview.

Based in a previous news report, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo announced on Sunday that she will be resigning from her post as the Housing Secretary following a text message allegedly from Cabinet Secretary Jun Evasco Jr.

According to the previous news report, the text message entailed the instruction of Pres. Rodrigo ‘Rody’ Duterte through his longtime aide, Christopher ‘Bong’ Go, asking Vice Pres. Robredo that starting Monday she is ordered to “desist from attending all Cabinet meetings”.

It is right away followed by the decision of the Vice President to step down from her post as chair of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).

According to Andanar, the spokesperson of Vice Pres. Robredo has sent them on Sunday a statement that the Vice President is stepping down her post as the Housing Secretary on Monday.

“That was the last straw, according to the letter,” Andanar spoke about the text message that the Vice President has received allegedly from Cabinet Sec. Evasco.
Furthermore, the report also entailed that the Communications Secretary expressed that serving ‘at the pleasure of the President’ goes along with building ‘his confidence in you’.
