Marcos’ Final Will States His Burial Preference
On Tuesday (November 15, 2016), late dictator Ferdinand Marcos’ last will and testament has been publicized, stating his burial preference.
The family of the late dictator released the document stating Marcos desired his remains to “be buried according to the rights established by law and with dignity suitable to my position and other personal circumstances.”
Due to this document, there are claims saying that Marcos does not want to be buried at the “Libingan ng mga Bayani” and instead he prefers to be buried beside his mother’s grave in Batac, Ilocos Norte as stated in his final will.
Atty. Yvette Convento-Leynes, the Marcos family lawyer said that the final will of Ferdinand was executed because some people were insisting that “LNMB” was the place where the late dictator should be buried.
