Victory Of Trump Can Affect Aids In West Philippine Sea – Analysts

The victory of Trump is seen to put a stop to “US pivot to Asia” which was a program of his rival Hillary Clinton when she was Secretary of State.

The aid that the Philippines is getting from the United States of America in the West Philippine Sea issue will surely be affected following the victory of Republican Donald Trump.

In an interview, former Philippine Ambassador to United States Jose Apolinario Lozada said that Trump may put a stop to the “US pivot to Asia” program because this was the program of his rival, Democratic Hillary Clinton, and Outgoing President Barack Obama.

Before his victory to the presidential post, Trump promised to to expand the presence of American troops in the disputed South China Sea (also West Philippine Sea) to deter China but President Rodrigo Duterte recently broke Philippines’ ties with the US.
