Donald Trump Elected As United States President; Hillary Concedes

The Republican Donald Trump is the new president of the United States, to take over the White House on January 20, 2017.

The Republican Party reclaims the White House with the triumph of the party’s standard bearer, Donald Trump, in the just concluded elections for the next United States president.

The 70 year old Trump, in his victory speech in the Trump headquarters in New York, confirmed that the standard bearer of the Democratic Party, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has called to congratulate and concede the elections.

The business mogul got 288 electoral votes, way too far to Clinton’s 215 electoral votes, making him the United States President-elect.

Once he assumes office, Trump will be the 45th Chief Executive of the United States, to succeed Outgoing President Barack Obama which will step down as his terms ends by January 20, 2017.

With the victory of Trump is also the triumph of his vice-president, Indiana Governor Mike Pence.

The billionaire won is 26 states, some of which were Democratic-dominated, making him win over Clinton who has way more political experience than him.

The Republican nominee had been leading the race in the initial canvassing of electoral votes.

The victory of Donald Trump was defined after he captured the 10 electoral votes of Wisconsin, putting his electoral vote counts over 270 threshold.

Donald upset Hillary, who would have become the first ever women to serve in the Oval Office.

He struck a populist tone and placed a hardline stance on immigration at the heart of his campaign.

It was said that the controversy on the mishandled classified information, previously discovered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), caused the hard-worked American lose heart on her.

Trump’s political fame started when he questioned whether Obama was born in the United States.
