Netizens expressed their sides on social media about the interview of Broadcaster Noli de Castro with the newly crowned 2016 Miss International Kylie Verzosa. Netizens described the interview as “awkward” and “cringe-worthy.”

After the interview, Veteran broadcaster, and former Vice President Noli De Castro drew flak on social media because of his awkward questions.

According to a report of Inquirer.net, during TV Patrol’s Oct. 28 broadcast, De Castro asked Verzosa if she has a boyfriend, to which the beauty queen answered with confidence: “No, korona lang (No, just a crown).

“Lungkot naman niyan (That’s sad),” De Castro added.

But when De Castro was about to end the interview, Kylie responded to him by saying, “No, hindi siya malungkot (it’s not sad). No, of course not! The crown is only once in a lifetime.”

The video showed that De Castro’s questions were awkward enough, but the broadcaster even added that Verzosa may have gained more suitors and admirers after winning the crown, to which the latter just laughed at.

Because of this awkward interview, many netizens reacted on social media. In fact, some of the Filipino netizens said that De Castro was unprofessional during the interview, which was described was odd and painful to watch.

And other netizens said that Kylie did not deserve such interview; nevertheless, she was able to handle it with class and grace.
