If the law is already in effect, for sure, France will be the next favorite place to work in the world.

Soon enough, France will be implementing a law which makes ‘unwarranted contact by the workplace’ illegal.

France is giving its employees a 30 days off a year or 16 weeks of full-paid family leave and if you are a French employee, you will be able to be with friends or family members over the vacation without having to worry about your boss and his deadlines.

New labor law of France
Soon enough, France will be implementing a law which makes ‘unwarranted contact by the workplace’ illegal.

The initiative of making France more popular to workers all around the world.

In a report at BBC News, the new “right to disconnect” law will mandate all companies that have 50 employees or more not to email their employees after typical work hours.

A large part of the amendment was a result of studies showing that people have an increasingly difficult time to go far from their workplace.

The measure also seeks to make sure the people of France are able to fully enjoy their day off.

“All studies show there is far more work-related stress today than there used to be, and that the stress is constant. Employees physically leave the office, but they do not leave their work. They remain attached by a kind of electronic leash – like a dog. The textx, the messages, the emails – they colonize the life of the individual to the point where he or she eventually breaks down”, said Benoit Hamon of the French National Assembly.

Stipulated in the new law is the provision that companies must negotiate policies that limit the spillover of work into the private lives of their employees.

No penalties will be implemented against the violating companies but the businesses are required to establish “charters of good conduct” that specify the times which employees are completely free from being contacted by their office.
