“Time To Say Goodbye To US Ties,” President Duterte Says
President Rodrigo Duterte said that it’s time to say goodbye to US, during his state visit to China on Wednesday (October 19, 2016).
The president has his four-day trip to China to boost the economic ties between the two countries. During his speech in Beijing, Duterte said that the country had gained little from its former colonial ruler and longtime ally “United States”.
Duterte remarks US, stays in the Philippines for their own benefits, so it’s time to say goodbye to the country’s old friend. Also, the president said that he will not go to America anymore because he will just be insulted there after his distasteful remarks to US President Barack Obama.
Previously, the Philippine president launched a series of tirades against the US for criticizing his war on drugs amid Extra-Judicial Killings in the country. Also, Duterte gives distasteful remarks to US President Obama and dares to withdraw their financial assistance in the country.
