Facebook, Twitter, And 30 Companies Joined To Address Fake Info
Facebook, Twitter and 30 companies related to news and technology have joined together to address the false information going out to social media and give a relevant information.
On Tuesday (September 13, 2016) the group consisting different social media network including Facebook and Twitter announced that they will tackle fake news and improve the quality of information coming out on the internet.
In June 2015, Alphabet Inc’s Google and First Draft Coalition said that they would launch a platform that will allow members to verify questions about news stories. Also, they would create a voluntary code of practice and promote news literacy for users of social media.
In an email of Jenni Sargent, managing director of the coalition said that by the end of October the platform will launch. Among the social media sites, Facebook is the largest and the most site used by Netizens to socialize globally.
