New Typhoon Ferdie Intensifies To Signal No. 1 In Luzon

New typhoon Ferdie intensifies to signal no. 1 in Luzon area such as Batanes and Babuyan Islands reported by PAGASA on Monday (September 12, 2016) morning bulletin.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal 1 was raised in some areas in Luzon due to strengthened force win of the typhoon Ferdie which has an international name of “Meranti”. A moderate to heavy rains were expected in Luzon with 300 km diameter of the typhoon.

It also has 165 kilometers per hour near the center which can reach up to 200 kph. In the east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Ferdie was seen 1, 015 kilometers from the area at 4 am. According to the projection of PAGASA the typhoon was 22kph west-northwest that will fall at these following days and areas.

• 550 km east-northeast of Aparri, Cagayan by Tuesday morning,
• 35 km northwest of Itbayat, Batanes by Wednesday morning, and
• 600 km northwest of Itbayat, Batanes and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Thursday morning.
