The team of DSWD came to Saudi to provide aid to OFWs.
DSWD – Overseas Filipino Workers in Saudi Arabia are in dire need of assistance. There were atleast 1,500 of them and the team of Department of Social and Welfare Development came to their aid.
Undeniably, a lot of Filipinos go abroad to seek for greener pasture. They leave the country with the hope of landing to better jobs in other nations so they can provide for the needs of their families. But sometimes that is not what happens there.
In a recent news report in Phil Star Global, there were lots of workers in Saudi Arabia that needs assistance because of their frustrating situations there.
Based on the report, the team of DSWD has already started with the mission to aid them. Within the 21 camping grounds in Saudi, the team counted that around 1,575 out of 3,193 workers wanted to go home to the country.
