Senator Leila De Lima and Her Ex-Driver Invited To a Hearing
Senator Leila De Lima and her ex-driver were invited to a hearing, by Davao Rep. Karlo Nograles. An investigation will be launched by House of Representatives during the term of De Lima when she was still the justice secretary, regarding the suspected production of drugs at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
Nograles said that they are inviting all the suspected persons involved in the Bilibid drug trade including the senator’s driver and bodyguard for the sake of accountability and transparency. The senator’s lover was accused by the president as De Lima’s lover and also detained at NBP for being linked to the drug lords.
The popular penitentiary in the country wants to be discovered by Raneo Abu, House Deputy Speaker when De Lima was the justice secretary at that time. Leila and other heads of law enforcement agencies are tasked to be one to implement the law enforcement policies especially in fighting illegal drugs, De Lima was not the only one involved.
