Sen. De Lima Together With Jaybee Sebastian, Bilibid
Jaybee Sebastian – As there are so many issues wherein Senator Leila De Lima has been involved, especially when President Rodrigo Duterte accused De Lima on having connections with the drug trade in the Bilibid Jail, there are photos that showed up wherein De Lima was together with one of the gang leaders in the correctional.
During a feature on Discovery Channel in the Philippines wherein the tackles about gangs in the Philippines, the featured happened in Manila’s New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
There, host Lou Ferrante has come to meet Jaybee Sebastian, one of the leaders of one of the gangs inside the correctional.
Sebastian, in the interview, has said that these gangs help the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) in maintaining the peace and order in the facility.
According to him, like other leaders, he was respected and obeyed like a boss.
During the walk-ins, Ferrante together with his crew went to Sebastian’s office that is well equipped and decorated. It can be seen that there are computers, tables, chairs, flat screen monitors, and a wall of framed pictures.
Ferrante then noticed the photos and asked Sebastian about them. There, Sebastian said that among the photos were President Noynoy Aquino, and the in the other picture was then Department of Justice Secretary Leila De Lima.
Recently, Solicitor General Jose Calida even showcased the photos and after the President accused her of being linked with the illegal drug trade in the NBP.
De Lima then clarified why she was in the said photo and said that there was an event wherein she and even the former President is there. De Lima added that other government officials and media reporters were also present.
