Iloilo local officials created a natural mosquito repellent that will be distributed to the different schools in the province to prevent the quick rise of dengue cases.
DOH has recently notes a quick rise in dengue to those identified barangays hot zones around the country. This was after more than 84,000 cases have been reported since January 1, 2016.
The DOH warned the residents who are living in the hot zones to be more careful about their surroundings. Due to the quick rise in dengue cases, the DOH had already issued a directive reactivating dengue-dedicated lanes in public hospitals to hasten the admittance of dengue cases, both suspected and confirmed.
In a recent report, the Barangay officials and health workers in the town of Sta. Barbara, Iloilo city, was now taking their actions to prevent the quick rise if the dengue cases in the province.
