Sotto Said Eradicate Illegal Parking in the Country Can Solve Traffic

On Wednesday Senator Vicente Sotto wants to open up roads the subdivision’s gate to relief the traffic in Metro Manila. The senator wants to divert the traffic by removing illegally parked vehicles on the street, as he proposed this idea to the Department of Transportation.

He said that removing illegally parked vehicles in the streets of entire Metro Manila can solve up to 50 percent of traffic problems, as he interrupt Arthur Tugade the secretary of transportation on a Senate committee hearing for granting the president to have emergency power to solve the traffic problems in the country.

Diverting the traffic into the subdivision’s road is the plan of Tugade at his speech in the hearing. He wants to convince the homeowners associations to allow his proposals and assuring that their place would not be compromise upon the road adjustments.

Sotto said to Tugade that it is better to study well the plan of opening the city streets. He mentioned that in order to help relieve the traffic it would be better to have community-based traffic and navigation mobile application Waze demonstration first.
