Duterte Awarded Slain Soldiers and Gives Cash to Widow
Gold Cross medal was awarded by President Rodrigo Duterte to the soldiers slain in ambush in Bukidnon. The sorrowful family of the soldiers has given cash worth of P250, 000 and also to the widow.
On August 09, 2016 President Duterte visits the headquarters of the Philippine Army’s Infantry Division (4ID) on camp Evangelista in Barangay Patag. Major General Benjamin Madrigal the 4ID commander will present the 25 firearms confiscated from New People’s Army (NPA) to the president.
In Cagayan de Oro City the president visits the funeral service of Private First Class Ricardo Simbajon and paid his last respect for the soldier. Last August 05, 2016 afternoon communist rebel’s battle against the soldiers causes the death of Simbajon.
The 3 month pregnant widow of Simbajon was given P250, 000 cash and also she was given a job by President Duterte according to the report.
