Vice President Leni Robredo seeks for a way to help the overseas Filipino workers.
Vice President Leni Robredo recognizes the services needed by the Filipinos working in other countries thus plans to come up with offices that would provide it.
Certain services are needed by the Filipinos who are working abroad or has plans to work abroad – this includes matching of skills, training, and as well as legality of the recruiters as it is undeniable that were numerous cases of illegal recruitment in the country.
There are cases that the Filipino who aspires to work abroad to provide his family their needs will do everything to put up with the placement fee and everything that is needed to be employed. But at the end of line, they end up with a closed agency – illegal recruitment just happened.
There are also cases that Filipinos get employed but in the wrong job as their skills were not matched with the job given to them. Others have insufficient training to perform the job. These were just some of the things that the Vice President wanted to address.
