Illegal Logs Worth P200, 000 Seized In Agusan Del Sur
It is estimated 147 illegal logs are caught in Agusan Del Sur as it is reported earlier today (August 05, 2016).
The authorities seized 147 illegal logs that were found in the municipality of Trento in Agusan Del Sur. A tip from unknown source has been identified. Department of Environment and Natural Resources together (DENR) personnel together with police officers of Agusan conduct an operation in the area and they were able to stop the shipment of the illegal logs.
Upon the operation there were logs that found in the river near the place. The authorities were able to stop the transportation of the illegal logs in a truck going somewhere.
It is discovered that the logs was from Bislig City, It is reported that it was cut from a certain forests in within the city.
The recovered illegal logs were estimated more than P200, 000. The authorities arrested the truck driver of Isuzu truck with Plate Number MDR 938, with 36 pieces of Gubas logs were confiscated.
