150 Flights in Hong Kong Cancelled Due to Typhoon Nida
Today (August 2, 2016) typhoon Nida lands in Hong Kong, hundreds of flight were cancelled for closing the financial hub of the airport due to strong wind and flood alerts on low-lying areas.
The typhoon has a capacity of more than 100 km per hour (62 miles per hour). It is earlier recorded make a landfall in China’s Guangdong province that now was the first major typhoon of Hong Kong. At 5:20 am this morning a heavy rain-swept Hong Kong.
Cathay Pacific and Dragonair will not allow any flight operation until 2pm said by the Airport Authority. More than 150 flights were cancelled and also 290 flights are delayed while more than a hundred of passengers were stranded at the airport.
According to Hong Kong observation Nida shows signs of minimizing near to its center after it moved from the Guangdong province. Typhoon Signal No. 8 has issued in the said country many business establishments suffers from cancelled and delayed business transactions due to the typhoon.
