Political Analyst noted the sincerity in President Duterte’s first SONA.
Political Analyst, Ramon Casiple, aired out his view on the message of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in his first State of the Nation Address at the House of Representatives, July 25, 2016.
Interviewed by ABS-CBN News field reporter Jasmin Romero, Ramon Casiple is firm that the President hit the center of the mark when he talked about the important concerns in the country.
According to Casiple, President Duterte did not get along to what others do like using rhetoric or statistics. “He avoided all of these, and sabi ko nga, he spoke from the heart,” Casiple said in the interview.
With regards to rating the message of President Duterte in his first SONA, the political analyst gave it a higher point – something between 7 or 8 out of 10.
It was visible during the SONA that the President is firm and straight forward on his view on the slowness of the passing of bills and corruption within the government as he even noted that those who betrayed the people’s trust will have their day in court.
Despite it, still Casiple see that the legislative body will be supportive to the President as he said, “They are not in the position to become an opposition”. Nevertheless, Casiple also believed in the changeable state of politics.
