PNP Chief Dela Rosa: ‘Sinundan Ko Kaagad Ng French Kiss!’

DELA ROSA – PNP Chief Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa shared about the special events in his life and the softer side of him in a segment of Unang Hirit.

Reported in GMA News, PNP Chief Dela Rosa or more commonly known as Bato shared about his very own way of cooking Maruya, his wife’s French toast, and the history of his nickname.

The tough-looking man shared his soft side sharing that his thoughts of his father are really something to him. Bato said that he always remembers how his father find a job to feed them and how he really worked hard to raise his family.

On the lighter side, he shared his secret talent in the segment as he cooked Banana Fritters or Maruya in Bato’s own way.

Unlike doing it the usual way, what Bato did according to the report is he he sliced the Banana without removing its peelings then he cooked it in oil without sugar – a technique taught to him by his mother as to the PNP Chief.

Another thing he got to share is the French toast of his wife.

Sinundan ko kaagad ng French kiss,” the PNP Chief said jokingly when asked on what he did after tasting his wife’s French toast.

With regards to his nickname, according to him, when he graduated in the Philippine Military Academy, they had a scout ranger training in Tanay and after the training he went back with a solid body.

Considering his body, he then gained the nickname from his senior officers in Davao when he got back.
