“Dapat may tamang proseso,” Mike Abe, the former’s spokesperson said in an interview with Inquirer.net.

Earlier, Duterte’s camp formed a “transition team” to search for possible members of the Cabinet. According to them, they aimed that Duterte administration to be “well presented and gender-sensitive”.

Quiboloy’s spokesperson said that selected Cabinet officials were pressed by some politicians.

He cited Las Piñas Representative Mark Villar, son of former Senador Manny Villar and incumbent Sen. Cynthia Villar who was first offered for Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) post but Duterte’s running mate Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano lobbied him for the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

On Monday night, May 16, 2016, Duterte met with Mark Villar to confirm the upcoming president’s offer to him the said post.

The spokesperson noted that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, founder and leader of the “Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name, Inc.” had no “official communication” with the president-elect who won landslide in the May 9, 2016 elections.

“Yan po ang malungkot. Wala pong nangyaring consultation. Since Day 1 (after election day), di siya (Quiboloy) natawagan,” the spokesperson said.

“Hinaharang ng mga taong nakapaligid sa kanya,” he added.

Mike Abe stressed that Quiboloy was not aiming any position in the government but only wanted a proper selection of Cabinet secretaries.

“Gusto lang tumulong ni Pastor kay Mayor and  the Filipinos,” the spokesperson explained. “Dapat suriin kung sino ang karapat-dapat ” he concluded.

  1. Pastor Quiboloy maybe right. The choice here might have a conflict of interest in the position given. Who will monitor if roads are built p(removed)ing through their owned subdivisions using the Department’s budget.
