Sen. Marcos Congratulates “Mayor President” Duterte
Senator Bongbong Marcos congratulated Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte who has been still leading in the voting results over his rivals and even calls him Mayor President.
According to a report on GMA News, Sen. Marcos said in an interview that he’s congratulating his “dear friend” Mayor President Rodrigo” “Digong” Duterte.
Clear in the partial election results of over 90 percent already, Duterte is the clear winner of the Election 2016 and to be honored as the 16th President of the Republic of the Philippines. He will also become the first-ever Philippine President who came from Mindanao.
Marcos also said that he is confident that Duterte will continue the “peace process and end the armed conflict, especially in Mindanao.
Duterte has been known to have affiliations with the communist rebels and other Muslim armed groups.
“As the first President from Mindanao, I am certain you will continue our efforts in the peace process in order to finally usher in a period of harmony and development in the Land of Promise,” said Marcos as quoted in the report.
Sen. Marcos added that he wishes only the best for Duterte because he believes that is the President is well, so does the country.
Vice presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos is still in the second place in the unofficial and partial results from the Commission on Elections Transparency server next to Liberal Party’s Leni Robredo.

As of now, there are allegations thrown to the LPs camp regarding the distinct rise of the votes of Robredo.
