Alan Peter Companyero Schramm Cayetano appears to be an opposite of his presidential aspirant Davao City Mayor Rodrigo ‘Digong’ Duterte.
Mayor Digong is often seen in media as a strong-willed man – known for clearing up the crime rate in his city, the Davao City. His jokes in his speeches at times are often the headline of the news updates and some undeniably see it as not wholesome. His ‘gutter language’ always crosses the point of his rivals in the presidential position.
Contrary to him is his vice presidential candidate Alan Peter Companyero Schramm Cayetano, a Philippine politician of German ancestry and brother of Pia Cayetano.
Biblical quotes and legalisms can often be heard in Companyero’s speeches. In the last months of the campaign period, he stands as the apologist and translator of his presidential candidate as there are many times that the Mayor’s ‘gutter language’ really make the media go massive about it.
According to the 45-year-old senator from Taguig City, Batman needs Robin.
In campaigns, Companyero is very vocal as he always introduces Mayor Digong as the only person who can bring change to the Philippines.
Many times did the Mayor of Davao City appealed to those who will vote for him to vote for his vice presidential candidate too. Otherwise, he does not want people to vote for him if they were not to vote for Allan as well.
The connection between the two was strengthened as they team-up for the incoming election which would be on May 9.
