The Philippines most popular candidate on social media, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte conquers Bacolod City, Negros Occidental as he successfully hold a mammoth campaign rally at the Bacolod Public Plaza on Monday, April 18, 2016. This is not the first time that Mayor Duterte campaigns in Bacolod City.
Despite the coordinated attacks by Mayor Duterte’s political opponents on various news report by national media, the mayor of Davao City still managed to get the support of the majority of Filipinos particularly the Ilonggo voters which was claimed by various presidential candidates as their bailiwicks.
Mayor Rodrigo Duterte arrived in Bacolod-Silay Airport at around 1:30 PM and then proceed to Bacolod People’s House to meet with Bacolod City Mayor Monico Puentebella. The 71-year-old Mayor Duterte had a stop in Barangay Tangub where he was greeted by thousands of his supporters and at 4 PM, he proceed to the Bacolod Public Plaza for a grand rally in Bacolod City which was jampacked with thousands of cheering Duterte supporters.
This is not the first time that Mayor Duterte visited the “City of Smiles,” he previously visited the city last February 17, 2016.
