Cayetano Affirms Marcos It’s About The People’s Money

Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano clarifies to Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. that the move is not about politics anymore.

A clarification was sent by Senate Majority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano after Sen. Ferdinand “BongBong” Marcos Jr.’s statement that his rants will not do anything.

April 10, the Vice Presidential Debate happed at the University of Sto. Tomas (UST). The battle of wits tested the vice presidential candidates as each is challenged to speak what he got.

Many citizens saw how the son of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. faced statements of allegations of corruptions done by their family.

Despite it, Sen.BongBong Marcos still affirmed Sen. Alan Cayetano on stage after the witty battle that those presses won’t work – the attempt to use the record of the Marcos’ ill-gotten wealth and other accusations of corruption.

Sen. Cayetano even narrated in an interview with Inquirer on how the son of the former president approached him right after the debate.

To say to him those words on stage was something that Sen. Cayetano never expected Sen. Marcos would be doing. Nevertheless, the senate majority leader remained undaunted about the fellow vice presidential aspirant’s reaction.

Further, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano stressed that will not stop in doing anything he could to find the truth behind the Marcos’ ill-gotten wealth.

Moreover, he hopes that Sen. Marcos would understand that the move to trace back what really the history holds is not about election or politics anymore.

He wanted to clarify that it is no longer about politics but about the money of the people according to him.

In an interview with Inquirer, he clarifies the money of the people as the money which Sen. Marcos and his family used for themselves to enrich themselves and fund to have their power back.

He would have done the same thing to any government official involved in any corruption whether he is a candidate in an incoming election or not according to Sen. Cayetano.

He affirmed that it’s not a strategy for politics.
