Social media darling and considered as one of the most popular candidate for the 2016 national elections, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said that the project of Pres. Aquino’s administration “Daang Matuwid” which will be continued by the mayor’s rival Mar Roxas is just “a fantasy” created by the Aquino administration.
During Mayor Duterte’s visit in the town plaza of Lingayen, Pangasinan, the PDP-Laban standard-bearer said no one is really taking care of the country and it is the government itself that is oppressing the people, statement of Mayor Duterte was applauded by the jubilant crowds in Pangasinan.
The 70-year-old Mayor Duterte hits hard his rival Liberal Party presidential bet Mar Roxas by saying, “This one, the daang matuwid (straight path), all along it was really a fantasy. It was only their fantasy. Nothing happens, only purely corruption.”
The mayor also compared himself to Mar Roxas and claimed that he has the will and the ability to stop drugs and criminality in the country, adding that the funeral business would boom during his term as president of the Philippines.
Aside from Mar Roxas, the controversial Vice President, Jejomar Binay who is also running for president was not spared as Mayor Duterte stressed that he could talk about corruption, drugs and criminality.
