Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, the son of the most successful president of the Philippines, the late Ferdinand Marcos, formally opened his national UNITY headquarters in Mandaluyong a few days after the official election campaigns of those who were seeking a national position in the May 2016 elections.
According to Bongbong Marcos he was happy that groups from opposing forces are coming together to support his Vice Presidential bid, indicating his message for national unity which is already gaining momentum nationwide.
The launching of the senator’s national headquarters were attended by tribal leaders, transport advocates, former rebels and loyalists who came together to express their support for his vice presidential bid.
Aside from the various groups and sectors present during the inauguration of Sen. Bongbong Marcos national headquarters in Mandaluyong prominent politicians were also present such as Las Piñas Rep. Mark Villar, former House speaker Prospero Nograles, representing ALDUB (Alyansang Duterte Bongbong); Mayor Amy Navarro of Santiago, Isabela representing the BIBO (Binay-Bongbong), Pandan, Antique Mayor Jonathan Tan representing AROMA (Alyansang Roxas-Marcos); Mandaluyong Mayor Benhur Abalos, former Valenzuela vice mayor Jing Hernandez, and Kilusang Bagong Lipunan chairman George Balagtas.
Family members led by Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Romualdez-Marcos also attended the inauguration.
