The reigning Miss Universe title-holder Miss Pia Wurtzbach from the Philippines finally thanked the millions of AlDub fans for the much-needed support during the most crucial part of the beauty pageant. The AlDub fans threw their support to Miss Pia Wurtzbach.
In a tweet posted on Wednesday, in the official Twitter account of Pia Wurtzbach, she was quoted saying “I love #AlDub. Salamat sa tulong n’yo sa akin. I hope to guest on Eat Bulaga when I get back to Manila. Mahal ko kayo,” Wurtzbach said.
The 26-year-old Pia Wurtzbach also hopes to win the country’s third Miss Universe crown after a four-decade drought. The beauty queen from Mindanao asked for the Filipinos’ support in the pageant’s global fan voting in December held in the United States.
Pia Wurtzbach singled out fans of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, also known as the AlDub to vote for her. The AlDub online presence dominates Twitter’s trending topics regularly, even recording the highest number of tweets during their “Tamang Panahon” concert.
Pia Wurtzbach already visited the Philippines for a grand homecoming and graced various ABS-CBN shows during her week-long stay in the country. She also attended the wedding of her best friend Pauleen Luna with the veteran comedian and “Eat Bulaga” pioneer Vic Sotto.
