Aspiring singer Ethiel Baradi of Pangasinan ended the short reign of the former Tawag ng Tanghalan defending champion Sofronio Vasquez during the Tuesday’s episode of the Twitter-trending segment “Tawag ng Tanghalan” in the country’s most popular noontime TV show, It’s Showtime.
Tawag ng Tanghalan champion Sofronio Vasquez ended his short reign in the singing competition which was patterned from the original Tawag ng Tanghalan singing contest that produced some of the country’s most prominent singers in the music industry.
Ethiel Baradi who was dubbed as the “Young Mama Diva,” won the Tawag ng Tanghalan title defeating Vasquez on Tuesday, February 2, 2015. The new champion dethroned Vasquez with her performance of Beyonce’s hit song titled “Halo.”
The new champion of Tawag ng Tangalan, Ethiel Baradi has a daughter, while her husband was an OFW working as a waiter in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
According to the newest TNT champion, her father trained her to become a singer when she was just eight years old, but when her father died, she decided to forget about her passion and move on with her life.
