VP Binay’s Camp Accused LP Over Negative TV Ads

Vice President Jejomar Binay and his entire camp accused the ruling Liberal Party to be behind the controversial smear campaign against the presidential candidate of the Unite Nationalist Alliance (UNA). The camp of VP Binay cried foul over the spread of “spurious” ads that were apparently aimed at reviving the web of corruption issues against VP Binay.

According to Rico Quicho, one of Binay’s spokespersons, he claimed that the videos that went viral on various Facebook pages were allegedly the handiwork of the ruling Liberal Party (LP). UNA accused LP and the allies of the administration’s presidential candidate, Mar Roxas to be behind the negative commercials against VP Binay.

In a statement released to the media, the coordinated efforts against VP Binay “started in the Senate and continued up to this day through a deceptive advertisement.”

UNA camps added further that the “elitist campaign to discredit the Vice President is nothing but lies and innuendos.” “This is a manifestation of the vain attempt to compensate the gross inefficiency and lack of empathy of the LP’s presidential candidate through inappropriate mudslinging against another candidate,” he added.

When the UNA spokesperson was asked why he thought the LP was behind the political ads, Quicho stated “LP’s actions speak louder than words.” “The participation of (LP) in the conspiracy to destroy the Vice President’s reputation is clear and obvious,” he added.
