Veteran indie film actor and phenomenal Kapamilya star Coco Martin welcomed the possibility of having a sequel with the highly successful achievement of the movie “Beauty and the Beastie.” The actor stated that he is very open to revisit his role as a cop for a sequel to the comedy.
During a press conference, the 34-year-old Coco Martin hinted: “Sa ganda po ng kinalabasan, sa ganda po ng proyekto namin –baka, baka. Kahit kami na-in love kami sa pelikula. Napakarami pa pong puwedeng journey puntahan ng pelikula.”
The top-grossing movie of all time, an official MMFF entry movie, Beauty and the Beastie has earned more than P487 million, and the film is still showing in select theaters nationwide.
Asked about what it made the Wenn Deramas-directed feature such a huge hit, Martin explained: “Mula po sa aking puso, sinasabi ko talaga na maganda po talaga ang pelikula namin.”
“Sinabi po talaga namin sa mga tao na hindi kayo aalis sa sinehan na hindi kayo tatawa at talagang susulitin namin ang bayad ninyo. Iyon po siguro ang nakita ng mga tao kaya nagustuhan siya ng mga tao,” he added.
Coco Martin also dedicated his showbiz career success on his devotion to the beloved Black Nazarene of Quiapo.
