Ousted INC Minister Lowell Menorca Faces Illegal Detention Raps

The expelled Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) minister Lowell Menorca II who made headlines earlier after he admitted that he was abducted by the INC is now facing his own case. Together with his wife, Jinky, the couple are facing a complaint of serious illegal detention filed by the parents of Menorca’s househelp, Abegail Yanson.

The parents of Abegail, Candido and Rosalie Yanson claimed that their 24-year-old daughter was detained by the Menorcas and they have been looking for their daughter for more than three months, since the Menorca’s left Bulan, Sorsogon province.

In a statement released to Inquirer, the complainant stated that if the Menorca’s are not really detaining Abegail, why is it that they don’t return her to her family. According to Yanson couple they were unable to get their daughter during the Court of Appeals hearing on Menorca’s plea for protection.

Menorca’s househelp, Abegail Yanson on her part denied that the woman who accosted her was her mother.

Lowell Menorca on his part revealed earlier that he was abducted from Bulan, Sorsogon, in July, and brought to Dasmariñas City, Cavite province, where his captors reportedly tried to kill him with a grenade. When it did not go off, they instead charged him with illegal possession of the grenade. He also blamed the INC for his ordeal.
