Veteran actress Elizabeth Ramsey passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 83 years old. The untimely death of Elizabeth Ramsey was confirmed by her daughter Jaya, on her official social media account.
In an official statement released by Jaya on Facebook, she was quoted as saying “Mama Beth is now with the Lord.” The singer added further that “Thank you for your love and prayers and I rejoice because she p(–foul word(s) removed–) in her sleep. In peace. In Godâs loving arms. Bye mama, until we meet again. I love you forever. Thank you Jesus,â her post read.
According to Jaya her mother has given laughter not only to their family but to the whole nation as well.
The singer and comedienne Elizabeth Ramsey was dubbed in the Philippines as the country’s “Queen of Rock and Roll.” She is known in the showbiz industry for her Visayan accented dialogues as she was born in the City of San Carlos in Negros Occidental.
Last August 2015, Elizabeth Ramsey was rushed to the Philippine Heart Center after she suffered a stroke. According to some reports, the veteran actress died on October 7, 2015 in her sleep because of a hyperglycemia attack.
Elizabeth Ramsey got her biggest break in the showbiz indusrty when she joined the singing contest of the noontime show “Student Canteen” when she was just a teenager, and after winning the contest, she became a performer at the Manila Grand Opera House.
