Two Possible Super Typhoons to Enter the Philippines Next Week (Bagyong Ineng)

The country’s weather bureau, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned the Filipino public that two possible super typhoons may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) next week. PAGASA is closely monitoring the weather disturbance because there’s a possibility that it will develop into a super typhoon.

Super Typhoon Ineng

According to weather forecaster Manny Mendoza of PAGASA, the super typhoon would be named “Ineng” once it enters the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) next week.

PAGASA noted that Bagyong Ineng, the first super typhoon of the possible two super typhoon is moving slowly at nine kilometers per hour toward PAR.

The possible super typhoon may enter the Philippines anytime next week, between August 19 to 20, 2015. The weather disturbance would enhance “Habagat” or the southwest monsoon which usually brings heavy rains in the Philippines.

Although Bagyong Ineng, a super typhoon, may enter the Philippine area of responsibility it is not expected to make landfall in the country and would go straight to Japan if it would continue to track its current path.

Aside from Bagyong Ineng, PAGASA is also monitoring another possible super typhoon in the Pacific which may enter PAR after Bagyong Ineng.
