The Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers during the Game 1 of the NBA Finals with the final score at 108-100 on Friday at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. NBA MVP Steph Curry led the Warriors who outscored the Cavs 10-2 in overtime while LeBron James scored Cleveland’s only basket with eight seconds left in the game.

Stephen Curry scored with 26 points, eight assists and four rebounds while teammate Klay Thompson added with 21 points and six rebounds. Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes contributed with 12 and 11 points respectively while Andre Iguodala scored with 15 points off the bench.
LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers with 44 points, eight rebounds and six assists while Kyrie Irving who left the game in the final period added with 23 points, seven boards, and six assists. The other Cavaliers who scored in double figure is Timofey Mozgov while the rest of the team struggled offensively.
During the game the score had been tied at 98-98 all with just 31.9 seconds left in regulation, a superb block by Kyrie Irving against the driving Curry was one of the reason why the game was extended aside from the missed jump shot by LeBron James for the Cavs with just 3.6 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
