In Bucharest, Romania, a ‘selfie-obsessed’ teenager has died after she burst in while taking selfies atop a parked train in the northeast Romania.
Anna Ursu, 18, was sent to St. Spiridon Hospital in the city of Lasi on Friday having severe burns after she touched a high-voltage wire above the parked train while trying to take the photograph of herself.
The patient was transferred to the Bucharest Burns Hospital where she died Sunday.
Aside from Ursu, a friend was also rushed to the hospital with slight injuries.
The witness of the accident said he had spotted the girls playing on top of the train, aware of the danger of the live wire, the man said he called out the teenagers to keep their heads and legs down.
Unfortunately, seconds later he said he head a loud bang seeing Ursu burst into flames.
Hospital’s emergency department speaker Anisia Iliescu said Wednesday it was impossible for Ursu to survive.
“Her whole body was burned”, Iliescu said.
