Remains of workers trapped inside the slipper factory in Valenzuela City which was devastated by fire were retrieved by authorities Thursday.
According to report, retrieval teams from the city including the Scene of the Crime Operation (Soco) operatives entered the Kentex Manufacturing Inc. eaten by fire on Wednesday.
The report said the recovered remains were placed inside a body bag and were brought to a morgue in Maysan.
Investigators said, the seven-hour fire was reportedly ignited by sparks from the front door welding, which blended with a chemical, used in making slippers.
According to Supt. Crisfo Diaz, deputy director for operations of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in the NCR, 25 people were killed in the fire.
However, authorities said dozens more are stills missing and feared dead.
