Davao City was named as the 9th safest in the world and is the country’s most child-friendly based on government ranking as data released by crowd-sourced rating site Numbeo.com.

Numbeo, in its information update of world’s safest cities said the city has a safety index of 80.69 or a crime index of 19.31.
Davao City ranked above Stuttgart, Germany (80.65), Abu Dhabi (80. 41), Hong Kong (79.97) and Bern, Switzerland (80.30).
While Osaka, Japan was named as the safest city with 89.26 followed by Munich, Germany; Stavanger, Norway; Singapore, Singapore; Bursa, Turkey; Heidelberg, Germany; Seoul, South Korea; and Bergen, Norway.
Numbeo is a data-base of user-contributed data about cities and countries.
Just last month, besting for its third time, Davao City bagged the Presidential Award for the Most Child Friendly City for highly-urbanized city category.
