Bagyong Dodong Storm Signals & Hourly Updates (May 9, 2015)

The country’s weather bureau, PAGASA placed some areas in Luzon under Signal No. 2 ahead of the expected landfall of Bagyong Dodong (international name “Noul”). Based upon the 5:00 AM advisory of PAGASA released on Saturday, May 9, Bagyong Dodong was last spotted 290 kilomters east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes.

PAGASA Hourly Update

Bagyong Dodong maintained its strength, packing maximum sustained winds of 160 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph. The typhoon is moving west northwest at 20 kph, is still expected to make landfall over Isabela-Cagayan area early morning on Sunday.

The latest weather disturbance which will hit the counry is expected to bring heavy to intense rainfall within its 300-kilometer diameter.

Bagyong Dodong is the fourth typhoon to hit the Philippines this year, it is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) by Wednesday morning.
