Corpse from a local cemetery has been allegedly stolen by a monk in Udon Thani then chopped off the head of another corpse, arrested yesterday.
Police Coloner Nawara Jannawan, chief of police at Prachak Sinlapakhom district, said that the stolen body and parts are for black magic purposes as monk denied the allegations.
The monk also confessed that he visited two graves at Ban None Sa cemetery to extract lottery numbers.
The monk was detained and questioned by the deputy national police chief. The monk claimed that he could provide winning lottery numbers through the bodies of people who were murdered or killed in accidents.
The villagers then reported that two graves were missing. The officer meanwhile said that heads of a brother and sister, 9 and 8, were similarly cut off at a cemetery. The parents had filed complaint to police about the abuse of the children’s corpses.
Cases were also earlier reported following the gunshot victim’s body and a woman’s body whose head had been cut.
