Watch: Alleged Filipina Caught by Abu Dhabi Police for Attempted Robbery

An alleged Filipino woman disguised in a veil and carrying a plastic gun was arrested by Abu Dhabi Police when she attempted to rob a money exchange center in Abu Dhabi. According to Abu Dhabi Police, the arrested woman is a 33-year-old Filipina disguised herself in a white headscarf and black abaya and stormed the exchange center in Abu Dhabi.

A video was also released by the Abu Dhabi police and based on the CCTV footage it showed the woman entering the money exchange center and threaten the employees with a concealed weapon, which was later discovered by the police officers as fake or made o plastic.

According to a report posted by the UAE’s The National, the woman was just identified with her initial as A L R, a 33-year-old undocumented alien from the Philippines.

The police noted on their report that the woman wore a niqab, an abaya and black gloves and had a piece of cloth covering the gun so it would not be recognize as fake.

The Abu Dhabi Police officers who arrested the alleged Filipino robber, she has knife in her purse, which, she said she intended to be use if her gun will be recognized as fake.

According to Col. Rashid Bourshid, the head of the CID at Abu Dhabi Police, the woman was an illegal resident and confessed to the attempted robbery, saying she was Dh140,000 in debt.
