The blindfolded dunk attempt of Justin Melton was made on Friday during the start of the PBA All Star Weekends held at Puerto Princesa, Palawan. According to Justin Melton his dunk attempt was his tribute to former NBA star Baron Davis, one of his idol in the NBA.

The attempt of Justin Melton was considered by some international news media organization as the “funniest dunk attempt ever made.” The viral video of Justin Melton’s dunk was recorded by Inquirer.net and was featured in USA Today, Huffington Post, SBNation, Bleacher Report and other international sports news organization worldwide.

The video of the 27-year-old Justin Melton who stands at 5-foot-9 inches tall, was even featured in a video segment of the world’s most popular news program, CNN.

Justin Melton was previously recognized as one of the smallest slam dunk champion in the PBA. During the 2014 edition of the PBA All Star Game Slam Dunk Contest, he tied with Rey Guevarra as co-champion of the slam dunk.

The PBA All Star Dunk Contest was won back-to-back by Meralco’s Rey Guevarra who won the title against his closest competitors Japeth Aguilar who tied Gueverra with 48 points before the final dunk of the contest.
