Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Mega-Bout Signed, Sealed & Scheduled on May 2, 2015

The highly anticipated mega bout featuring the world’s most popular boxing heroes, Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines and Floyd Mayweather Jr., of the United States is finally on, as both fighters agreed, signed the contract and sealed by international boxing bodies. The Pacquiao vs. Mayweather boxing match is scheduled on May 2, 2015.

The Pacquiao vs. Mayweather bout is considered as the most anticipated in boxing history, for more than five years, sports fans from around the world have clamored for the mega-bout featuring the world’s best pound-for-pound boxers and after various failed negotiations, the fight is now on its way, as both boxer will unify their welterweight world titles at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and the undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., boxing showdown is the richest in boxing history and at the end of the bout, the No. 1 fighter in boxing will be named.

According to initial report, Floyd Mayweather could earn $120 million or more, while Manny Pacquiao’s split of the purse will be likely be around $80 million.

The 36-year-old Manny Pacquiao has been through many years in the ring and lost some matches while Floyd Mayweather has been largely untouched in his entire boxing career but will turn 38 years old on Tuesday.

Manny Pacquiao was sleeping in the Philippines when the fight was announced in the United States, but his camp issued a statement saying the fans deserve the long awaited fight.

Part of the agreement on Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight is that, Mayweather insisted on having the right to announce the bout aside from winning the concessions from Pacquiao camp on who enters the ring first, what type of gloves are used, and a number of other issues, including a reported 60-40 split of the purse.
