The first Filipino-Australian who won the X Factor Australia, Marliza Punzalan, visited the Philippines for a series of shows. The first Marliza Punzalan show was held at the Lucky Chinatown Atrium and Eastwood Mall Open Park on Friday, February 13, 2015 while the next show will be held on February 14 at Venice Plaza and McKinley Hall.
Marliza Punzalan also revealed during an interview right after her arrival to the Philippines, that she wasn’t planning to audition for X Factor Australia last year since she was only 14 but her brother insisted and look where she is now. According to Marliza she planned to join the competition when she is 16 but at the age of 15 she became the youngest X Factor Australia winner.
The 15-year-old X Factor winner released her self-titled debut album featuring her career single “Stand By You” the same single that earned her a Platinum award and a gold award for the self-titled debut album.
According to Marliza Punzalan whose parents are Filipino noted that she has been sining since shw was 3 years old and has performed in various Filipino community concerts in Australia.
On Marliza Punzalan’s visit to Manila for a series of malls shows, she noted that she’s really enjoying Filipino cuisine.
